Cascade Pilates opened in 2019 when Owner/Instructor, Lainey Wilson, returned to the Pacific Northwest after almost 12 years living and working in Nevada and Southern California. Lainey began in a small space inside the Morris Building offering private and semi-private lessons. Despite the challenges of Covid, the studio thrived and she quickly realized there was a larger need than she could meet! In 2022, Lainey moved into Cascade Pilates' current home, and began offering just 8 small group reformer classes per week. The studio and teaching staff has since grown immensely, and now offers 28 classes per week with 5 instructors on staff!
At Cascade Pilates, we believe in a holistic approach to Pilates, combining physical and mental wellbeing. Our classes are designed to help you not only build strength and flexibility, but also reduce stress and improve your overall quality of life. We are proud to be the only reformer studio in Wenatchee, and hope to continue to educate the community on the benefits of Pilates!
Pilates is a form of low impact exercise that trains the body to move in safer, more efficient patterns of motion - this helps with injury recovery & prevention, aging, sports performance, & optimal health. Pilates conditions the entire body while lengthening and strengthening to improve muscle elasticity and joint mobility.
Pilates is both a physical and mental workout. It is known to relieve stress, helps develop a greater mind-body connection, & creates more body awareness.
Benefits of Pilates
Cascade Pilates is the official pilates studio of the Wenatchee Wild!
Athletes of all skill levels need additional training outside of their sport in order to perform their best and reduce the risk of injury. The skills used in Pilates can compliment any sport, and provide cross training to help improve skills in numerous ways.
Athletes tend to stress similar muscle groups because of repetitive movements – Pilates encourages muscle balance by working through full range of motion and building support in all layers of soft tissue.
